French Perfumes: Top Best French Perfumes for Women

1. Nina By Nina Ricci For Women

  • Your very own fairy tale: A believed version of the popular House brand perfume. Inspired by the magic of fairy tales and fables, Nina Ricci's timeless Nina fragrance envelops you in an enchanted fantasy world of candied fruits and woodsy undertones
  • Radiant, long-lasting scent: Excite and romance your senses with a sweet, floral and fruity scent that emanates all day. Spray on this fragrance for an intense, aromatic payoff that lasts all day and all night without any fade.
  • Warm and sensual: The scent appears with citrusy notes of Amalfi lemon and lime, that ease into an interlude of fresh granny smith, praline, peony and Datura, drying with more sensual notes of apple tree, musk and Virginia cedar

2. Paco Rabanne Lady Million Fragrance For Women

  • Dazingly Seductive Scent: Lady Million appears with notes of raspberry, neroli, and amalfi lemon, easing into notes of orange flower, jasmine, and gardenia, and drying to a fragrance of white honey, patchouli and amber
  • Floral, Fruity, Enticing: For the woman whose desires transcend the everyday, Lady Million's rich, luxurious florals and deep musky undertones invite your senses into a world of pleasure and excitement.
  • Opulent Packaging: Inspired by the decadence and wealth of the scent itself, Lady Million arrives enclosed in a luxurious, diamond-shaped bottle

3. Always classic, yet never dull

Since 1966, Francisco "Paco" Rabanne has innovated fashion and fragrance. Known for a love of the unconventional, the storied fashion House infuses classic, timeless fragrance notes with unique and delicious twists.

4. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel is an amber floral fragrance for women and was launched in 2001. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge the nose of the House from 1978 to 2015. Notes are orange, Grasse jasmine, May rose, patchouli, and vetiver.

5. Guerlain Shalimar

Shalimar was originally created in 1921 by Jacques Guerlain. It was re-released for the Art Deco Exhibition in Paris in 1925. Shalimar was named after the garden in Srinagar, built for Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan in honor of his wife. Before he became emperor his name was Prince Khurram. The top notes are lemon and bergamot, the middle notes are jasmine and may rose, and the base notes are iris, incense, vanilla, and Tonka bean.

6. Chanel and Chloe

As iconic as one of the brand's quilted bags or bouclé jackets, Chanel's scents are perhaps the most iconic French perfumes in the world, namely Chanel No.5. Still, Chanel has plenty of other fragrances to consider. I'm particularly partial to Coco Mademoiselle.

  • Romantic: This is the best description of Chloe fragrances. The fashion house debuted its first signature perfume in 1975, and they've been popular ever since. While its namesake Chloé perfume is undoubtedly its most classic, my favorite scent is Nomade, which has notes of plum, freesia, and oak moss.

7. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

Black Opium from Yves Saint Laurent is a dark and moody scent that oozes seductive vibes. Based in vanilla and topped with notes of coffee, this sweet, lush fragrance weaves in the freshness of flowers to create a modern, young, and alluring aroma. User reviews compare this scent to a more sophisticated version of Mugler’s Angel Eau de Perfume (also on our list), as the light notes of vanilla bean and jasmine give it a sensual presence. Spritz this perfume when getting ready for your next date night.

8. Dior J’adore

Dior strikes again with arguably their most iconic perfume ever produced. J’adore was only launched in 1999 but it is the brand’s best-selling perfume. I guess most people prefer 21st-century perfumes to the old vintage scents! The J’adore perfume is shaped like a woman’s curves, and the gold rings around the bottle neck mimic a gold necklace that a woman might wear. With keynotes of ylang-ylang, rose from Damascus, jasmine sambac, and jasmine from Grasse, this is one French fragrance you can’t go wrong with.

Conclusion

In conclusion, French perfumes have been a craze for centuries, and their appeal has not diminished. French perfumers are renowned for their mastery in creating exquisite fragrances with exotic and layered scents. Some of the best French perfumes for women include Nina by Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne Lady Million, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Guerlain Shalimar, Chanel No.5, Chloe fragrances, Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, and Dior J’adore. With their unique and luxurious packaging, these perfumes are the epitome of elegance and glamour and are sure to make any woman feel special.
